託福語法:句子時態的靈活運用
時態的活用:
英語時態有一些習慣用法是不符闔以上規律的,我們隻能硬記這些用法,例如:
在條件狀語從句裏,將來的條件要用一般現在時錶達,將來進行時要用現在進行時錶達,依此類推。
例句:1.If you come here early tomorrow morning, you will meet him.
2.He will be watering the garden after two hours if you are preparing so slowly.
3.When we have gone there, they will have been there at least for half an hour.
Be going to do sth 和be to do sth結構錶示將來時也是活用的方式。
例句:1.We are going to get up early in the holidays. 我們打算在假期裏早點起床。
2.He is to climb the high mountain next month. 他定於在下個月去豋那座髙山。
suggest後麵的賓語從句裏含有should,如果省略裏麵的should,謂語動詞則應用原形:
例句:He suggested we [should] go in this way.
應用舉例:《新概唸》第二冊紅色字錶示現在時係列,藍色字錶示過去時係列
Lesson 2 Breakfast or lunch?
It was Sunday. [這是指以前的那一天] I never get up early on Sundays. I sometimes stay in bed until lunchtime. [這是指作者一貫來的情況,即習慣性] Last Sunday I got up very late. I looked out of the window. It was dark outside. [這些還是指以前的那個星期天裏的事] ’What a day!’ [口語用一般現在時=What a terrible day it is!] I thought. [當時想] ’It’s raining again.’ [仍是現在時係列] Just then, the telephone rang. It was my aunt Lucy.[指的是當時的情況] ’I’ve just arrived by train,’ [現在時係列] she said.[露西姨媽當時說的] ’I’m coming to see you.’ [現在時係列]
But I’m still having breakfast,’[作者說他當時的動作,現在時係列] I said. [他當時說]
What are you doing?’ [現在時係列] she asked. [她當時說]
I’m having breakfast,’[作者說他當時的動作,現在時係列] I repeated. [他當時說]
Dear me,’ she said. [她當時說] ’Do you always get up so late? It’s one o’clock!’ [指的是當時的情況,口語用一般現在時係列]
Lesson 3 Please send me a card
Postcards always spoil my holidays.[這是指作者一貫來的情況,即習慣性] [以後都是講述去年夏天的事所以全用過去時係列] Last summer, I went to Italy. I visited museums and sat in public gardens. A friendly waiter taught me a few words of Italian. Then he lent me a book. I read a few lines, but I did not understand a word. Everyday I thought about postcards.[這一句雖然講的是經常發生的事,但因爲全發生在去年夏天之内,所以仍用過去時] My holidays passed quickly, but I did not send cards to my friends. On the last day I made a big decision. I got up early and bought thirty-seven cards. I spent the whole day in my room, but I did not write a single card!
